Christmas Party Christmas Gift Christmas Decor Christmas Lights Christmas Tree

Last year I received the most wonderful greeting for the holidays. A Christmas card ornament is a fantastic idea for anyone that wants to send more than a little holiday note. I love the item I received and I am going to try and find some for this year so I can spread the Christmas card ornament idea around.

The particular correspondence I received is a simple Christmas card ornament that has a picture of my nephews on it. This adorable addition to my tree is a lovely gesture from my brother and his wife. The idea of using a card as a sentimental present is wonderful and I felt as if the kids were right with me.

Hopefully I can find the Christmas card ornament in the store but I know that I can construct one by hand. The process of making one of my very own would be simple and I think that it will make the holiday greeting more personal and warm for the recipient. Of course, I’m going to share the steps with you.

Making such an item requires a little more than patience. You can probably find great patterns in a craft store but I’ll share a few tips on how to make a Christmas card ornament on your own. You may want to even have your kids make them. They will love the craft and the recipient will appreciate getting such a special holiday greeting.

Nothing is more special than getting a gift from a child and when the gift is made with the child’s two little hands it is truly priceless. The Christmas card ornament is a wonderful way to get your kids involved in the process of gift-giving. It also communicates to your kids that the best gifts are inexpensive. They just require some time and effort.

You will need some basic supplies. I decided to make the Christmas card ornament that I am sending to my brother’s family out of cardboard. All you have to do is cut the cardboard into the shape of a frame. I chose a snowflake theme for my project and I found that some glitter really makes a splash on the design.

I simply drew snowflake designs with glue and added the sparkle. A hole-punch can be used to create a hole for the hanging ribbon and that’s about all there is to it. The last thing you will need for your Christmas card ornament is a picture.
